📋 Know Before You Borrow
  • Standard pawn ticket term is 4 months. You pay monthly interest to keep your item.
  • Interest is charged on the full loan amount every month — it does not decrease as you pay.
  • BSP regulations cap pawnshop interest at approximately 3.5%/month for most items.
  • A 3.5%/month rate equals roughly 42% per year — significantly higher than bank loans.
  • If you fail to redeem or renew by maturity, the pawnshop may auction your item without further notice.
  • You can redeem early — most pawnshops prorate interest to the day.
  • Always keep your Arias (pawn ticket) — you cannot redeem without it. Replacements require extra steps.
  • Bring a valid government-issued ID. BSP requires pawnshops to record all transactions.

Rates are indicative. GSIS and Landbank loans are for government employees/GSIS members only. Actual rates depend on credit profile, income, and bank approval. Processing fees may be deducted from loan proceeds. Always confirm current rates in the official bank app or branch before applying.
